Toulouse has no shortage of specialty coffee, and matcha has quietly found its way onto the menus of the Pink City's best cafés. There is no single dedicated matcha bar we could verify here, so this guide focuses on cafés that local guides single out for their matcha: a Vietnamese tea room making its own powder, a riverside roaster on the Garonne, and three small spots in the centre between Capitole and Esquirol. Each was checked against at least two sources for its address and a 2026 listing, review or record showing it is still trading. All five below are verified open as of October 2026.
Le Bonbon called this Vietnamese-inspired tea and coffee room the most exotic Asian tea room in Toulouse, a short walk from Esquirol metro. According to Culture31, Café Bống makes its own tea powder and serves it in several matcha variations, including with mango, strawberry or coconut cream, or as an affogato. Toulouse Secret also lists matcha-based drinks and bubble tea alongside organic teas, and the café serves homemade lunches and pastries, according to tourism listings.
A specialty roaster and café on the Garonne riverbank, facing the Pont-Neuf, that roasts its coffee on site. Toulouseforyou recommends it for a matcha latte served hot or iced depending on the season, at around 4.90 EUR, and FoodGuide Toulouse also includes it among the city's best matcha addresses. Brunch runs Monday to Saturday without reservations, according to the café's own site, so come early if you want a riverside table.
This brunch café near the Capitole opened in late 2024, and within months Culture31 reported it was already known for its matcha. The manager told Culture31 the matcha comes from Uji, near Kyoto, and is served as a latte or iced. FoodGuide Toulouse describes the matcha latte as made with the plant milk of your choice, at around 5.50 EUR. Visit Occitanie notes that the kitchen makes everything in-house.
A cosy specialty coffee shop on Rue Peyras that opened in December 2024, with coffee from Cafés MUDA and homemade cakes and brunch, according to Le Bonbon. Culture31 includes it among Toulouse's best matcha addresses and reports that its matcha comes directly from Kyoto, while Le Bonbon singles out a matcha raspberry roll from the pastry counter. It is open seven days a week, which makes it an easy Sunday option in the centre.
A small tea room between the Capitole and the Daurade quays with Asian-influenced drinks and pastries. FoodGuide Toulouse describes a minimalist, Japanese-style setting where the matcha is whisked by hand, for around 4 EUR, making it one of the more affordable options in the centre. Wanderlog reviewers mention mochis, bubble tea and matcha, plus a generous brunch, and recent Tripadvisor reviewers praise the poke bowls and the terrace.
