Important: Matcha Spot is an AI-powered discovery tool. Business listings, addresses, and ratings are generated by artificial intelligence and may be inaccurate or outdated. Always verify information directly with the business before visiting.
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Matcha Spot ("Service"), operated at matcha-spot.com. By accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Description of service
Matcha Spot is a web-based tool that uses artificial intelligence (Google Gemini with real-time Google Search grounding) to discover and suggest matcha cafés and matcha powder shops based on the city you enter. Results are generated automatically and are intended for informational and discovery purposes only.
The Service is available in a free tier (limited searches per day) and a paid Pro tier (unlimited searches). We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice.
2. Accuracy of information
Results generated by Matcha Spot are produced by AI and may contain errors including:
- Businesses that have closed, moved, or changed their menu
- Incorrect addresses or opening hours
- Inaccurate ratings or price information
- Places that no longer serve or sell matcha
Always verify opening hours, menus, and current status directly with the business before visiting. Each result card includes a Google Maps link to help you verify information.
3. Acceptable use
You agree to use Matcha Spot only for lawful, personal discovery purposes. You agree not to:
- Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to access the Service
- Attempt to reverse engineer, copy, or replicate the Service
- Circumvent usage limits or rate restrictions through technical means
- Use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
- Resell or commercialise access to the Service without written permission
4. Pro subscriptions and payments
4.1 Billing
Pro subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis via Stripe. By subscribing you authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
4.2 Cancellation
You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain Pro access until that date.
4.3 Refunds
We offer a 7-day refund for new subscribers who are not satisfied. After 7 days all payments are non-refundable. We do not issue partial refunds for unused time within a billing period.
4.4 Price changes
We reserve the right to change subscription prices with at least 30 days' notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance.
5. Intellectual property
The Matcha Spot name, logo, website design, and underlying technology are our property. You may not reproduce or distribute our proprietary materials without written permission. AI-generated results are provided for your personal discovery use only.
6. Third-party links
Matcha Spot links to Google Maps and business websites. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of these external sites.
7. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT AI-GENERATED RESULTS WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR CURRENT. BUSINESS INFORMATION MAY BE OUTDATED AT ANY TIME.
8. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR RELIANCE ON AI-GENERATED CONTENT, INCLUDING WASTED JOURNEYS TO BUSINESSES THAT HAVE CLOSED OR CHANGED. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE PRECEDING 12 MONTHS OR $10 USD.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by applicable law. EU/EEA consumers retain mandatory statutory rights that these Terms do not exclude.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated Terms will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance.
