Liverpool does not yet have a dedicated matcha bar that we could verify as trading in 2026, but the city centre still pours a good cup. Bold Street is the heart of it: a halal brunch spot with a full iced matcha menu, a speciality coffee institution that a 2026 matcha guide ranks best overall, and a tea shop that gave away free iced matcha lattes on World Matcha Day. Just across from Lime Street, a one-man coffee cart has built a following for flavoured iced matcha. We checked every address against at least two sources and looked for proof of trading this year. Only four places passed. All four below are verified open as of October 2026.
Founded in Liverpool in 2025, Maison describes itself as a spot for speciality coffee, ceremonial matcha, all-day brunch and handmade pastries, and its Liverpool menu lists iced matcha latte, iced strawberry matcha and iced mango matcha. Tripadvisor reviews through 2026 are strongly positive, with a January 2026 visitor singling out the breakfast and matcha lattes. The café says its menu is fully halal certified.
Best known for speciality coffee and brunch, Bold Street Coffee is named best overall in a 2026 Liverpool matcha guide from MatchaGuide, which calls it the safest quality-first pick. Visit Liverpool describes its matcha latte as smooth and balanced. The brand kept expanding in 2026 with a new site at The Climbing Hangar, but the original Bold Street café remains the one to visit.
The Liverpool shop of the tea company sits at 106 Bold Street. On 2 May 2026 it marked World Matcha Day by giving every customer a free iced matcha latte, according to Confidentials, so matcha is very much on its counter. When the shop first opened, local press reported it would run matcha tea demos.
A small independent coffee cart outside St Johns Shopping Centre, across from Lime Street Station, run solo by its owner, according to a local food blog. Visit Liverpool says it is especially popular for flavoured iced matcha lattes such as blueberry and cherry, and LiverpoolWorld called it a new favourite matcha spot. It also serves açaí bowls and smoothies. Expect a queue at busy times.
