Dubai's matcha scene has grown into one of the busiest in the Middle East. It now has dedicated matcha cafés as well as specialty coffee shops that take matcha seriously. The Matcha Tokyo, the Japanese matcha brand's Dubai café, sits on the beachfront at JBR. Matcha Vibes in Jumeirah builds its whole menu around ceremonial-grade matcha from Uji. And Jumeirah's specialty coffee strip, from Koncrete to Knot Bakehouse, makes some of the city's most talked-about matcha lattes. All five below are verified open as of October 2026.
The Dubai café of The Matcha Tokyo, the Japanese matcha brand, on the beachfront at JBR. The matcha is 100% organic and comes from Uji, Kyoto, and the menu keeps the focus on it: classic Japanese matcha served straight, matcha and hojicha lattes, and frozen matcha drinks with strawberry or passion fruit. It is open late every night, which makes it an easy stop after an evening walk along The Walk.
A dedicated matcha café in the Village Mall on Jumeirah Road, and one of the most matcha-focused menus in the city. Matcha Vibes uses ceremonial-grade matcha from first-harvest leaves grown in Uji, shade-grown and traditionally stone-ground. The menu runs from straight matcha to lattes and flavoured drinks, and the café is a relaxed place to sit. A good first stop if you want to taste high-grade matcha in Dubai.
The Dubai branch of the Paris-and-Tokyo café brand, on the ground floor of H Residences on Al Wasl Road. Time Out Dubai counts its matcha lattes among the best in town, and the signature is a creamy white matcha made with white chocolate. Seasonal versions rotate through the menu, from strawberry peach to rose matcha. The room is bright and photogenic. Open daily from 8am to 11pm.
A specialty coffee house, concept store and creative hub on Jumeirah Street in Umm Suqeim, with a clean, minimal room. Koncrete is a coffee-first shop, but its matcha has a following of its own, and the coconut matcha is the one people recommend. A good stop between the beach and the Burj Al Arab end of Jumeirah.
A Jumeirah bakery and café known as much for its drinks as its croissants. The matcha lattes are the draw: the sea salt vanilla matcha latte and the salted caramel matcha are the two regulars recommend, both topped with Knot's signature foam. It opens early and closes late, from 6:30am to midnight, so it works for a breakfast matcha or an evening one. Listings give two different addresses on Jumeirah's beach side, so check the map before you go.
