Bellevue's matcha scene is small but focused, clustered in Old Bellevue and the downtown core within a few blocks of each other. A Tokyo-born green tea café, a Taiwanese tea brand using automated brewing, and a homegrown plant-forward matcha bar cover very different styles, from parfaits to creamy lattes. We applied strict checks to every candidate: confirmed address, a 2026 source showing it is trading, and evidence of matcha on the menu. Only three cafés passed, so this guide lists three rather than padding it out. Note that Matcha Magic is due to close its Old Bellevue café on 1 November 2026. All three below are verified open as of October 2026.
The Bellevue outpost of a Tokyo-born chain, Nana's Green Tea opened in Old Bellevue in early 2023 as the brand's first Eastside café, according to Seattleite. Visit Bellevue describes it as a modern Japanese café serving handcrafted green teas, light meals and desserts. Its Toast menu lists a matcha latte, a matcha mochi parfait and a matcha soft serve soda, alongside hojicha and black sesame options. Yelp reviewers praise the desserts but note there is no dedicated parking lot.
Also known as Unique Green Tea, this is the brand's first Washington location, opened around the turn of 2026 according to Downtown Bellevue Network. The chain was founded in 2024 by Taiwan's Sharetea group and uses an AI-assisted system that prepares drinks in about seven seconds. The menu spans pure tea, milk tea and Uji matcha. Its online ordering page lists the Next Level Matcha Latte as a most-ordered item. Yelp reviewers mention limited seating.
Visit Bellevue calls this woman- and minority-owned café, housed in a pink building on Main Street, Bellevue's first plant-forward matcha bar. Its menu has included ube and strawberry matcha lattes. Downtown Bellevue Network and What Now Seattle report that the café closes on 1 November 2026 because of redevelopment, and that the founder is looking at new properties in Bellevue and Kirkland. Visit before the closing date, and check its Instagram for relocation news.
